I wouldn't normally do the macro thing, but I did put a little bit of work into this. And the point of it is something I want people to see.
Over time, I started noticing this about Aang and Katara. So I started collecting screenshots whenever I noticed it. I have so far found more than four times this many separate moments. And I'm still finding new ones like this every time I catch an episode or pop in a DVD. It can't be an accident.
Other characters have their own unique reactions to whatever happens. But these two are so emotionally connected, their reaction and expression to almost everything is the same! At the same time! I find it amazing, beautiful, and almost creepy.
But it's not at all surprising. This is how they dance. This is how they train together. This is how they fight side by side. And this is how they love each other, gazing into each other's eyes with the same adoration.
And this is one of the big reasons why I love this ship.
(And I dare anyone to come in here and try to argue that there's too big a gap in maturity between them! If they think and act the same, then there's obviously no significant difference in how they relate to each other.)

Odd thought; I wonder if there are similar shots of Toph and Sokka? Only where Katara and Aang are sickeningly sweet, Toph and Sokka are horrible horrible hellraising prankster con artists who get pissed because they don't *always* win.
